Play the N.C. Voter ID game!

*some general assembly required

In the waning days of the legislative session, the General Assembly is tackling a key tenet of democracy: voting. And by tackling we mean pummeling, trouncing and mowing it down. It's the political version of the New Orleans Saints' bounty program, in which players earned bonuses for grievously injuring members of the opposing team.

In addition to the onerous photo ID requirements, House Bill 589 would make it more difficult to vote, while making the disclosure of campaign contributions even more of a dark art.

For some levity, we created a spoof of the classic Mouse Trap game to illustrate the inanity—some imaginary and some all too real—of the legislation. —Lisa Sorg
