If you saw the first Planes animated film and thought that it would be amazingly simple to create a quick franchise, congratulations, you have the skills to work for Disney these days. This sequel takes the plot of its predecessor (plane trains to win race) and changes the setting (same plane trains to join firefighting crew). Dane Cook returns as Dusty Crophopper, the little puddle jumper that could. Listless animation, tiresome 3D and unenthused voice acting amount to a miss.
