Phantogram, The Range

When: Fri., Oct. 28, 8 p.m. 2016
Price: $25
Phantogram did it big. For a band that started as a bloggy aughts indietronica act à la The xx, Phantogram has managed to transfigure into an ambitious, radio-friendly electro-pop act of the sort that major labels are banking on. That said, the band isn’t nearly as lovable or musically interesting as it was in 2011. See recent single “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” which feels workshopped to get ad placements and/or appeal to kids who abuse drugs at festivals. With The Range. —David Ford Smith
