Re: “Live: Ian Hunter lives up to lifelong expectations at Motorco

An exceptionally crafted review. I'm a far less eloquent journo and have loved Mott and Ian Hunter since going to see them in 73 at the Oxford New Theatre when I was at Reading University. I have the DVDs of his recent concerts and attended the one at the now-defunct Astoria and the Mott reunion at Hammersmith. David Klein's eloquent words reflect my thoughts and he is so right about Hunter's voice - half-shout, speak-singing and charmingly patchy pipes. I have had so much pleasure from listening to Ian, Roxy Music, David Bowie and early Lou Reed over the years that I forget how much I owe them.
