Our Country's Good

When: April 10-13, 8 p.m., Sun., April 13, 2 p.m. and Mon., April 14, 5 p.m. 2014
Directed by Joseph Megel, the play tells the story of the convicts and officers that founded the first penal colony in New South Wales. In an effort to rehabilitate and "civilize" the convicts, the colony decides to put on a play themselves, winding a striking tale of class division and how art can be used to reinvigorate communities and bridge gaps. Designed by Playmakers Repertory Company's McKay Cobl, this production is performed in memory of UNC Dramatic Art student Andrew Crabtree.
