OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies

When: Fri., May 4, 8 p.m. 2012
Price: $5 ($3.50 for members)

If The Artist causes you to mumble superlatives, then you have a date with its two stars at the North Carolina Museum of Art on Friday. Academy Award-winning actor Jean Dujardin and Berenice Bejo star in Artist director Michel Hazanavicius' spy satire OSS 117: Cairo, Nest of Spies. Dujardin's comic talents give his portrayal of French agent Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath a parodic edge while unabashedly critiquing contemporary colonialism. This is a spy movie for leftists who like to laugh. The film screens at 8 p.m. in the museum's East Building auditorium; tickets are $5, or $3.50 for students and members of the museum, Cinema Inc. or Galaxy Cinema. —Chris Vitiello
