A Jim Jarmusch-directed film starring Tilda Swinton and Tom Hiddleston as vampires who've been around so long they've grown a bit weary. So weary that Hiddleston's vampire, a rock star living in Detroit, contemplates ending it all. This spurs Swinton's vampire to leave Tangier and come to Detroit to check on him. If you like your vampire films stocked with references to Nikola Tesla, Elizabethan literature and Iggy Pop, then this is undeniably a good time and a pleasant counterpoint to whatever YA franchise Hollywood has queued up next.
