They say that travel broadens the mind. In this steampunk-inflected feminist comedy by Eric Overmyer (Treme, The Wire), three proper but spirited Victorian women explore not only terra incognita, but time itself. (Why? Because it's there.) Between tales of previous exploits, the indomitable trio tries to make sense of bewildering artifacts, creatures and practices from the future, including pop music, the Beat Generation and Cool Whip. Along the way, they're challenged by a Yeti, cannibals and the always-enigmatic Mr. Coffee. In this hiSTORY Stage production, director Rebecca Blum leads a cast including Laura Jernigan, Mary Forester and Whitney Griffin. —Byron Woods
