Old Quarter, Wayleaves

When: Sun., Nov. 15, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $5
Raleigh’s Old Quarter boasts country-rock bona fides. The band name-checks Johnny Cash, borrows from Townes Van Zandt and toys with Gram Parsons’ cosmic Americana. Wayleaves finds a number of Triangle rock veterans, including Polvo and The Cherry Valence drummer Brian Quast, banding together to bang out bar rock that’s consciously loose. —Patrick Wall
