Re: “Sweepstakes gambling on the way out in NC?

I agree with you there totally, Kimberly. Raleigh says that unemployment rate has gone down 97%. Well guess what, its about to rise again. In more rural places where it is way underdeveloped (business speaking) there are very few jobs available. Especially jobs that doesn't require a ton of education, experience, and the strength of 10 men. So, yes these businesses are a "necessary evil," (as some would call it) to have open if not only for entertainment purposes, but for the employment itself; and again like Kimerbly said, no one is forcing people to play. That is totally their free will.

Now, since it is being seen as such a problem, why not offer suggestions in how to keep these businesses open without causing a "nuisance;" as it is being called, or at least expand some of those jobs that are being hoarded by already developed areas in North Carolina into these more smaller towns and cities. I'm very sure these communities will be open to having more job options and availablities. Besides, everyone can't afford to move or commute to these cities.
