North Carolina Symphony

When: Sat., July 17 2010

Capping its 2010 Summerfest concert series, the North Carolina Symphony offers a pair of powerful pieces. Guest artist Antonio Pompa-Baldi will shoot majestic flourishes through Beethoven's Concerto No. 5 in E-flat Major—the "Emperor" concerto. Camille Saint-Saens's stirring Symphony No. 3—the "Organ" symphony—completes the program. Gates open at 5 p.m.; the music starts at 7:30 p.m. Lawn tickets start at $20 with kids 12-and-under admitted free, and table reservations start at $25. Lawn chairs, food and drinks are allowed.
