Noises Off

When: April 4-22 2012
Price: $20-45

Local theater groups must love Michael Frayn's Noises Off: It's an excuse to satirize the living hell they go through trying to pull each production together. Theatre in the Park did it last year, and now Playmakers is getting in on the action. The tale of a horrid troupe of actors putting on an equally terrible play where Murphy's Law reigns supreme is a classic farce, using a double-sided set to establish and play on the audience's knowledge of what's going on offstage. Wednesday's opening-night show is at 7:30 p.m.; the play runs through April 22, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays–Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, plus an additional matinee Saturday, April 14, at 2 p.m. —Zack Smith
