No Shame Theatre

When: Sat., March 24, 10 p.m. 2012
Price: $2

No Shame Theatre, which is essentially open-mic theater, had its first performance in Iowa in 1986 from the back of a pickup truck. Since then, the concept has spread to many cities, including New York, Miami and Chicago. If you're a writer wondering if your play or play concept has any legs, bring a no-more-than-four-minute script, as well as actors, to The ArtsCenter, 30–60 minutes before showtime and sign up. Email if you are planning to submit something that evening. The show starts at 10 p.m. Call 929-2787 or go to for more information. —Christina Cass
