I see that Mr. L. Akin is again spewing forth racial hatred. The views of Jesse Helms are well known. He wasnt at all wishy-washy like the vast majority of politicians. He was 100% for the population of North Carolina, regardless of race, particularly the farmers, and he was not adverse to orderly change. These are some of the major qualities of his enduring popularity. It seems to me that upon the death of a person, it is generally accepted that the good that they accomplished is remembered, and those denigrating Jesse Helms, reflect their own pettiness and meanness of spirit.
