Re: “Sweepstakes gambling on the way out in NC?

To those think it is addictive and a problem are the ones sounds like had the problems and not winning. No one makes you run from city to city or cafe to cafe to play the games. As a convenience store clerk I have seen customers spend just as much on lottery tickets and scratch offs and then say "oh well guess I ride over to VA and try my luck there" explain to me what is the dang difference. I liked the cafes and I was not always a winner it did not take me away from my family, I did not spend all my earnings there and I did know when to walk away. I even help my winnings on my account and would go cash in when I needed gas or something. As consumers we spend all our money chasing sales, black Fridays etc no one is "protecting" the poor from that....these shopping gimmicks hits the poor community sometimes even greater. It is mind over matter and no one can control ones mind you have to have the will to say no or go. Everyone looking for someone to blame just be responsible and accountable for YOUR OWN ACTIONS!
