Comedy

Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) continues to stake a claim toward being the best comedic director working today. In his latest, Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne star as new parents who find themselves in a battle of wills with the fraternity that just moved in next door. Soon, it becomes apparent that the couple is really fighting feelings of inadequacy, while the president of the frat (Zac Efron, showcasing surprising comedic talent) has caught an unwanted glimpse of the future in the older couple. While numerous subplots are left dangling because of obvious cuts in the film, this is a comedy with a surprising amount of heart buried within.
