Re: “Cajun Charlies

Not what we hoped to find: very expensive for what you got. FOOD WAS VERY AVERAGE. Dinner for 2 no drinks w/ tip = 60.00 She Crab soup: VERY salty - took 2 glasses of water to get it down - almost 7.00 No French bread: one standard croissant per dish Jambalaya: again very salty but even more so was pepper hot not cajun spicy-- 15.00 Combo Plate = Rice/Beans Jambalya Shrimp etoufee 21.00 Rice/Beans : very average not Cajun at all Jambalya - my wife also thought it was salty Etoufee: best item we had all night - still 1 point above average - made with baby shrimp The rice was undercooked - very hard pieces throughout each dish Baby shrimp - not fresh average sized shrimp Very little andouille sausage in the meal Chicken is main part of Jambalaya. Baby shrimp used in 2 dishes instead of normal shrimp No PO BOYS on menu We had hoped for better. Baby Moon next door is light years better. Downtown Cajun restaurants are better. We had really hoped to find a neighborhood Cajun eatery. Restaurant decoration is very nice.
