Documentary explores the inner life of Dr. Lucy Daniels, whose childhood has both tormented & motivated her throughout her life. Born into a prominent Raleigh newspaper family, Daniels suffered from severe anorexia & endured brutal treatment at mental hospitals far from home. In 1989 she founded the Lucy Daniels Center, the largest nonprofit provider of mental health services exclusively for children in the Triangle region.
