It’s a violin showcase! Vivaldi’s Four Seasons needs no introduction. This time, it features four soloists drawn from the N.C. Symphony’s violin section (Elizabeth Phelps, Jacqueline Saed Wolborsky, Dovid Friedlander, and Rebekah Binford) accompanied by a “multimedia experience” celebrating the North Carolina Park’s centennial. Then comes Nico Muhly’s electric violin concerto Seeing Is Believing, full of celestial arabesques. Soloist Karen Strittmatter Galvin takes the lead. The symphony will also play Aaron Jay Kernis’s Musica Celestis. —Dan Ruccia
