NC Symphony Summerfest: Your Favorite Light Classics

When: Sat., May 30, 7:30 p.m. 2015
Price: $28-$30
With a title like “Your Favorite Light Classics,” this North Carolina Symphony program is unambiguous. Rossini’s Overture to The Barber of Seville, Greig’s Peer Gynt suite, Sibelius’ Valse Triste and Mozart’s Overture to The Marriage of Figaro are familiar, making them just right for a summer-evening picnic. Take your kids to the Symphony’s “Instrument Zoo” to let them try an instrument. —Dan Ruccia
