N.C. Symphony: Music from the Movies

When: Fri., Oct. 16, 8 p.m. and Sat., Oct. 17, 8 p.m. 2015
Price: $45-$75
Movie music surges in my head in specific situations. When I’m aggressively navigating Interstate 40, I hear Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries” from Apocalypse Now. When I go through a revolving door, Nino Rota’s theme from The Godfather comes to mind. The North Carolina Symphony plays Rota’s evocative theme and music from Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Titanic and the Batman and Harry Potter movies. —Chris Vitiello
