Nano Stern

When: Sat., Nov. 1, 5 & 8 p.m. 2014
Price: $26
It is, at times, impossible to trace the stylistic origins of Chilean guitarist and singer Nano Stern. Not yet into his 30s, he seems to have absorbed the songbooks of Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, the guitar grace of Jim Hall, the articulate energy of Django Reinhardt and the folk songs of his own country. His songs reflect all of these ideas at once, his eclectic impulses united under a glowing psychedelic patina. His music is the kind you might stumble upon and expect to be pulled from a new 4 Men with Beards reissue; here he is though, touring through a small Raleigh theater. —Grayson Haver Currin
