Re: “Derek Walker remembered

I knew him personally went to high school with him, and I do say the justi system had a major part to play in it, we alway put our black men down for not taking care of thier kids, but make it hard in the ones that really want to be there. I've seen it personally, my fiancé has not seen his son in years but his son's mother drags him and out of court for child support, when we have repeatedly ask to see the child, I heard the judge myself say myself and i quote " WE DON'T DO CUSTODY HEARING IN THUS COURT" alot of bitter use children as pawns and everybody acts like it's a secret. We seem to loose focus as a society and forget about the best interest of the child, as an early childhood educator I see it all the time, one week dad can pick up the kids, one week later he can't because the momma mad at dad, something has to be done, This should be an eye opener, He was a good man who loved his son, I know I would go crazy to if I was loosing my kids right before my eyes,
