Must Be the Holy Ghost, Slowriter, Hundredftfaces

When: Sat., Nov. 28, 9 p.m. 2015
Price: $7
As Must Be the Holy Ghost, Winston-Salem’s Jared Draughon expertly blends analog and digital psychedelia. His songs develop glacially into widescreen soundscapes that seem boundless and borderless. But his music, guided by layered vocal loops, is too emotionally engaging to be purely ambient. Live, Draughon teams with Evan Hawkins, who provides visual accompaniment by using an old-school overhead projector and brilliantly pigmented liquids. He washes Draughon’s one-man symphonies in swirling, aqueous colors. —Patrick Wall
