Triangle personalities revive the entertainment spirit of an earlier age and perform a live variety show, focused on various aspects of life in the region. Participating local writers include Jill McCorkle and Bland Simpson; musicians such as Jay Cartwright and Robert Griffin will perform, and there's comedy from the Piedmont Players. Tickets for the 150-seat show are $50; all proceeds go to help four mental health agencies. (If you have to miss out, the show will be recorded and uploaded to the Murphey School's website at a later date.) The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will run for two hours. —Sarah Ewald
