Re: “Trial pits Greens, Libs against the state

Lisa: Your answer to my complaint is certainly fair. You were there for the whole day, and you get to decide what worked and what didn't. I accept that. BUT: You did NOT tell your readers, who were NOT there for the whole trial, that I testified that winning is impossible under the current system. That was where all my testimony was leading, and where my entire claim for the problem with the current statute rests. That was my complaint about the reporting. You are quite right to draw your own conclusions about what worked and what didn't, and I would not presume to criticize that.

Re: “Trial pits Greens, Libs against the state

Lisa, I'm missing something. I testified that it is IMPOSSIBLE, under current law, for any party to get on the ballot and win. The fact that the Libs have not won, UNDER CURRENT LAW, says nothing about viability. In fact, if I had said: 1. It is impossible to win under current law, because we have to spend all our money to get signatures.... and 2. The Libs HAVE won some offices wouldn't that have been....perjury? I'm confused how you think that dents our argument. You have the cart before the horse. Frankly, I expect better reporting from the Independent.
