Paul Osborn's 1939 play about four aging sisters in a small town coming into conflict is regarded by some critics as one of the best American comedy plays, and it enjoyed a hugely successful revival on Broadway in 1980 with an all-star cast that included Teresa Wright and Maureen O'Sullivan. (It was revived again in 2002 with a cast that included some equally-famous males, including Buck Henry and Christopher Lloyd.) It's a look at aging and trying to change your life—before it's too late. Fun fact: Osborn also adapted a number of great literary and stage works to the screen, including South Pacific, The Yearling and the James Dean East of Eden. —Zack Smith
