Re: “Paul Coble echoes uncle Jesse Helms' reactionary impulses

This article is an interesting way to spin your own personal disdain towards a man standing up for his beliefs. Sure, he's a lot like his Uncle Jesse, they both have backbones that don't turn to gel when a tough issue arises. Coble understands the problems Agenda 21 has on local governments. Under the Agenda 21 umbrella is the organization, ICLEI, which can clearly have an effect on a local level. ICLEI is a global blueprint drafted by the UN that does not take into consideration the different needs of each local government. If your town decides to "sign up" for ICLEI, your town will pay dues for a global organization based in Bonn, Germany to make your decisions. I'd rather have local officials that I vote for make those decisions. Fortunately, we have Paul Coble standing up for Wake County.
