I just moved to North Carolina. My first bill (just a little over 1 month in this house) was $144....Absolutely outrageous!!! We previously lived in Texas, and at that time had more kids at home (ie more laundry etc) and even at height of summer with watering outside the max bill was $75. (BTW...all our appliances are energy/water efficient!!)...The bill had me angry...but we haven't had water for close to 24 hours now. I understand the heavy rains with H. Matthew did a number on NC..but we have electricity, cable etc, just not WATER!! I have been calling since 7 am this morning, and when I can get through get told to call back in a couple of person said it is a pumping problem..but we have not buying that it is an electricity outage!! PLUS, for future reference to those people of Aqua..put out an automated message on your line when you have major outages...tell us what is going on and if you know when approx water will be back on, tell us, if not then tell us that...just be straight with us. ALSO...put on that notice, and instruct your customer service folks (for when we are lucky enough to get through...about boil water recommendations...NOT nice to find out after we have already drank the las water we could get from the tap...ESPECIALLY when we are a bit challenged with indoor plumbing as a result of NO water.
For this amount of money a month, I would expect better service!!!! And not a suggestion that we might want to drive more inland to get water..WTF...we are inland!!!
