Re: “Help for veteran

Knowing the amount of time it takes to get the VA to accept that the medical conditions actually occurred due to or during military service, I would say that this gentleman will probably have a longer fight on his hands than he believes. I fought for over 10 years and started with my condition while in the military, and discharged due to medical conditions and has military documation in my records from active duty. It is my hope, prayers and dreams that all that have any military conditions be granted the benefits they deserve. Please note that there is a two year waiting period upon registering with the VA before one can be seen in a VA unless discharged now with military conditions. The specific military benefits promised to us before we actually served are not granted now. If you read the clothing bills you sign upon being issued your uniforms you will note that you are authorizing the military to withold a specific amount out of your pay to pay for these so called "uniform provided free" enlisteds. I hope that this person gets the benefits I am sure he is entitled to. He deserves it and he (and family if he has one) have done without far too long. My advice to all ex-military is to flock to the local VA's and register now. No longer time should be wasted. Only longer waiting periods before getting into the system. If you have any medical problems from the military find a service officer through a VA, veterans service organizations (DAV, VFW, AMVETS, Etc.)county verteran service officers or other and start the paper work to get the benefits you require and deserve here and now!!!
