Re: “Land transfer tax stalls

Finally some good news on this mess. I'm a Realtor. I believe this tax will hurt the public, is unfair, and truly will NOT affect my business or income. I believe it would help disqualify people at entry-level from buying and contribute to foreclosure woes, as it will make it harder for folks with little equity to sell. The NCAR has this one dead right. What is the agenda that would penalize those least able to afford this tax? It is a shame when big business has to look out for citizenry who will be abandoned and abused by government. And a lot of those who want to authorize a referendum were staunchly opposed to referendum as a tool of democracy regarding initiation of a state lottery.
