Mike Epps

When: Mon., Feb. 11, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $45-56

In the heavily populated community of damn fools, Mike Epps has a knack for coming with the foolishness. The actor and comedian has spent most of his career playing the model definition of a ghetto (man)child running wild. His biggest claim to fame has been playing Day-Day, the wannabe-playa cousin of Ice Cube's Craig in the Friday sequels. He served not only as a replacement for Chris Tucker—who had second-banana duty in the first Friday and went on to not leave his house unless to do another Rush Hour movie—but also as the hoodrat-attracting Jerry Lewis to Cube's weed-smoking, mean-mugging Dean Martin. He doesn't break away from the ghetto antics when he's onstage. Hell, most of his act consists of him making slapsticky riffs on what he sees in black neighborhoods. If you want to see how much of damn fool Mike Epps can be, the show starts at 7 p.m. —Craig D. Lindsey
