Re: “Leaving prison—and staying out

I can relate - I committed a crime 15 years ago, was sentenced to 7 1/2 months behind bars, and was released in 1998. Since then, I'd had some jobs where I could earn a living honestly. I got let go at a job in Florida in 2009. Now, at 47, no one wants to hire me because of my record, even though all this time I've haven't gotten myself in trouble again and I've stayed drug/alcohol free for 15 years. What does a person like myself do? I don't want to get in trouble, but I don't want to keep on having no where to go, and no meals.
