Re: “

On a lark my wife and I decided to come to the Triangle for the weekend to visit friends. We magically appeared on their doorstep. They suggested we see a DSI show. It was a cheap ticket, about the price of a movie, maybe less. So we figured, "Why not?" My first impression walking in was, "Is this place for real?" The DSI theater is a very tight space. The house lighting is dim, and before the show the background music was cranked way up, which only made the space feel tighter. It had a real fly-by-night feel. Until the house lights went down. Then, whatever skeptical thoughts had been running through my head disappeared. Because the performers were unexpectedly good. About five minutes in, I forgot where I was. I had been sucked in by the action on stage. Some very funny stuff was made from what I thought were tough audience suggestions. I wish I could magically appear in Carrboro more often.
