Metric | UNC Campus: Memorial Hall | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.

When: Wed., Nov. 6, 8 p.m. 2013
Emily Haines, veteran of several tours of duty in Toronto supergroup Broken Social Scene, has been the leader of her own band, Metric, since the late '90s. Metric offers glossy songs in subtly differing hues of synth-pop, new wave and generally danceable rock. While their music is quite likable, it can be too stiff to really love. Haines' most transcendent moment remains BSS's aching "Anthems for a Seventeen Year Old Girl." —Jeff Klingman
