Re: “Endless Summer: Since Fall Started, Raleigh’s Seen Temperatures At Least Six Degrees Above Average Eleven Times

So where was the Indy when there were more than six days of below average temperatures. I think you are pushing a non-existent agenda in order to justify the murder of humans.

Re: “It’s Time to Stop Laughing Off Poor White Men’s Malignancy—And Their Humanity

In re-reading the article - something stuck out at me...

"Many of Trump's supporters, especially poor white men, are indeed virulent bigots, and those who are not still endorsed one. That is truly shocking and irredeemable on moral grounds. We can never normalize, compromise with, or assimilate bigoted views in our civil society; we must actively confront them at every incidental and structural turn."

I supplant this with the evidence that those who are protesting and rioting Trump, are not the Supporters of Trump, but the supporters of Clinton. As I go down the definitions and the history as I look in the mirror - I see that the fanatics were NOT Trump Supporters, but supporters of Clinton.

Bigoted views are part of the civil society. Pomp and Circumstance - Pride and Prejudice - It has been in play ever since we came out of the primordial goo. It is a given that you will not override that which is inherent in every persons DNA.

That being said - we can confront them - but we wary that the Constitution does not give you free speech rights in front of others - only from censorship from the government.

Re: “It’s Time to Stop Laughing Off Poor White Men’s Malignancy—And Their Humanity

This is the ideological platform that lost the election. It is believed that the penis is a malignancy - that is fine - it is as malignant as breasts are to women. It does not matter if you are white or not - the idea of inclusiveness in the United States was shot out the window when diversity became a new word for discrimination.

Diversity has been pushed so hard to the point where it simply broke, and it started putting people in a position of being discriminated against because of being white (racism) or ideological basis. The only way to have the country come together is to shit-can the idea that diversity is going to get us there. It won't.

Sure - celebrate our differences - but work like we have none. The character of a person counts more than their color - according to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr - so why have we allowed it to become a weapon? This is the ideological platform that lost the election.

Re: “Will to Live Cautiously Returning? Here's a Few Things to Do This Week.

You stopped the arts coverage to cover the election..... You were probably better off just covering the arts, rather than the elections. Your readership would have went up.

Re: “The Eyes of a Child: A Twelve-Year-Old Comes to Grips with Trump

Sorry - if anyone has emotionally damaged their kid to the point where they are that sensitive - both the parents and the kid need to go seek a psychologist. Cause a 12 year old shouldn't care.

Re: “Where Do We Go from Here?

I think that it is increasingly funny that by your perspective, Clinton should have won. This tells be that you have no line of communication to the other side of the fence.

What do I mean? What I mean is that you pushed your own ideals through your media of choice, and in doing so - you attempted to drown out the "static" from the other side rather than come to the table and have a conversation about the concerns. It's OK - you aren't the only one who did it - I did too.

But - the difference between someone throwing a fit now a week after the election and today is that I went through and critically went through in my own mind and asked myself how I, ME, let it happen.

And the answer was - I would not listen. I would turn a cold shoulder like a pompous ass and not think that the chord they were striking with the everyday man and women was going to matter. But it did. The eMail Scandal, past history, and all of the other criminal behavior that was supposed during the election that I told myself "We are all good Christians, we can forgive her for that" led up to a very pissed off and very determined group that went all out to get Trump elected.

By taking the stance that you are going to waste your paper on saying how America is at fault for the election is the same as saying that you refuse to take responsibility as I have for being a pompous, narcissistic asshole - and you are going to write hit piece after hit piece to attempt to go through why simply you attempted to lead folks down a road they were let down.

Understand, I am no hack. But some times you have to grow up and check your values. If you refuse - guess what - it will happen again.

This is why there are many disallusioned people in the Democrat party who believe today that the election created a vortex that sucked in the party and as of now, it is in Name only. Heck - the ones who are in office now can't get their shit together to elect a leader - this is the very same thing we accused the Republicans of having a problem with and said that they were in disarray. They weren't - they bit off small chunks - they waited - and when it was time to pounce - they knocked our dick in the dirt - and now we see that it was the party that we supported that was in disarray.

I don't know about you all - but I don't think I can trust anyone running for office because they don't speak to the people - they speak toward the money. As far as Trump is concerned - he don't need the money - he is only taking a Buck a year - that is telling me that perhaps those who are painting him with a very bad paintbrush don't necessarily have the larger picture in mind.

Afterall - if we don't talk and exchange ideas and understand our enemies - they will hand us our ass - because we, ourselves are being too ignorant to listen to the train on the tracks coming right at us.

Re: “Our Five Favorite Excerpts from Judge Thomas Schroeder’s HB 2 Smackdown

" "While there are no reported cases [of peeping, indecent exposure, and trespass violations] involving transgender users...." You can stop right there. There have been 16 reported cases of perverts doing this in North Carolina - does this mean that they were TransGendered? Absolutely not. The majority of those who are truly transgender simply DO NOT CARE, as they are in the process or have already gone through the process of gender transition.
