Mary Johnson Rockers

When: Sat., July 20, 6 p.m. 2013
Price: Free

"Although Rockers is her last name and not a band, pop-rock influences are woven throughout her Americana roots," the website bio for Mary Johnson Rockers & the Spark helpfully imparts. I'll admit to wondering who these Rockers were the first time I saw them play (and which one was the Spark?), but any such confusion was rendered moot by the tuneful flair of the members' musicianship and the mellifluous gleam of Rockers' voice. Show up at 5 p.m. to shop the farmers market booths before finding a spot on the grassy hillside of the natural amphitheater. —Peter Blackstock
