Re: “Destination Dix is Poised to Give Raleigh the Urban Park It Finally Deserves

To the comment above ... Yes, and transit and biking! I see Dix as an awesome opportunity to connect DT with the Farmer's Market, etc, by bike. Our family can't wait for Destination Dix! Thank you, City of Raleigh, for your vision and commitment to this park. Can't wait to see it unfold over time.

Re: “It Took More Than Biscuits and Donuts to Make Rise the Triangle's Fastest Growing Food Empire

Love Rise, and love seeing this local business succeed. We use to travel out to Southpoint but now have one close enough that we can walk to it! :)

Re: “Does Kay Crowder Have a Point on Bike Share in Raleigh?

But is it really either-or? In order for Raleigh as a whole to be successful, it needs a vibrant, forward thinking downtown core. Don't get me wrong, the transit referendum is vital - and in all honesty - it should have come first - like when Durham/Orange county took the lead on these issues a few years back. As a daily bus commuter, I couldn't be a stronger advocate for transit, and other transportation amenities, but this bike share system will compliment those and enable a region that isn't so car dependent. All of these investments compliment each other to create a transportation system that's currently, very lacking, and extremely car-centric.

Re: “The Hibernian's Niall Hanley to Open Gigantic Food Court and Local Mall in Downtown Raleigh in 2017

Funny, Joseph ... my family and I were just walking by earlier this week wondering the same thing. ;) This is going to do great in this spot. Perfect location with Citrix and the Dillon redevelopment coming on board. Can't wait to see the exterior/interior renderings.

Re: “Raleigh artist Dalek promotes Small Business Saturday

But Bruegger's Bagels IS a national chain ... It seems like there may have been a more appropriate small business to support here - like Rise Donuts, etc.
