Re: “Teachers give a failing grade to working conditions

@TigerGrad: Where can we find the recording you referred to of Sulura Jackson saying she will make somebody's life miserable?

Re: “Teachers give a failing grade to working conditions

It's even worse that it looks. I attempted to work within the CHCCS system for A YEAR, thinking that somebody would see reason (I’m being cryptic because I don’t want my son blatantly identified).
I had two meetings with Alphonso Donaldson (CHHS Ass’t Principal) regarding an easily remedied situation in which all teachers involved agreed on the approach. Instead of giving the green light for the teachers to handle the situation as they saw fit, he dug his heels in, citing that he had people to answer to. This created an untenable situation for my son, whose outlook plummeted.
I then had two meetings with Sulura Jackson who dug her heels in as well. After my second meeting with Jackson, Donaldson began to follow my son around the halls and sit in on his classes in an obvious attempt to intimidate him.
I then had a meeting with Tom Forcella, who gave his full backing to Jackson and Donaldson.
I wrote the State Superintendent, June Atkinson, who told me that the matter was out of her jurisdiction.
I then spoke to an attorney who told me that there are so many levels of governmental immunity for school administrators that there is virtually no way to get any relief from the courts for an abusive situation.
This explains the hubris. It's no wonder the teachers feel hopeless. I don’t have an answer. Anybody care to weigh in?
