March 2013 INDY Animals

This is Elliot. We believe he’s mostly miniature pinscher and maybe part chihuahua, but we’re not entirely sure because we got him from the Animal Protection Society of Durham. He was so small when he was turned in, that he couldn’t be in the cages with the other dogs, he had to be in the cage with the kittens.

That’s funny to me now because Elliot has a bit of a Napoleon complex. He thinks he’s huge and loves to wrestle with dogs three times his size. As you can imagine from the photo (which was taken by Alyson from, Elliot has a seemingly endless amount of energy. In the photo, he is chasing a tennis ball at his favorite place in the world, Piney Wood Park in Durham. — Conor Glassey, Durham
