Manning Chamber Music Series

When: Mon., Oct. 24, 7:30 p.m. 2011
Price: Free

With a generous donation from Peace College alum Sara Jo Allen Manning, the Manning Chamber Music Series began in 2006. Since then, Peace has partnered with the North Carolina Symphony to bring beautiful music to the campus at no charge. This year's series opens with works by Tchaikovsky (Album for the Young, Op. 39) and Beethoven (Duo for Violin and Cello and String Quartet in F major, Op. 59, No. 1). The quartet for the evening includes Symphony violinists David Kilbride and Jeremy Preston. The free concert starts at 7:30 p.m. —Ashley Melzer
