Raleigh has summer music and movies "In the Park" at the N.C. Museum of Art; Durham gets music and movies "On the Lawn" at the American Tobacco Campus. Can Chapel Hill top that? Well, vertically speaking, yes: Head on up to the rooftop level of the Wallace Plaza Parking Deck at 150 E. Rosemary St. for the town's "Locally Grown" series of summer concerts and films. Mandolin Orange—the sweet-sounding acoustic duo of Emily Frantz and Andrew Martin—teams up with jam-friendly string band Big Fat Gap to kick off the series, which continues every Thursday (except July 7) through the end of August. Movies will include Pirates of the Caribbean, North by Northwest and Toy Story 3. Admission is free; on concert nights, there's a beer garden, plus food booths from several Franklin Street eateries. Gates open at 6 p.m.; the music runs 7–9 p.m. —Peter Blackstock
