Re: “Aiken, Crisco, and the battle for Renee Ellmers' 2nd congressional district

I agree with the positive comments about Aiken and must also note--cynically and sadly--that he will be able to raise more money that any other Democratic candidate from donors outside his district and outside of NC, even though it's for a district seat.

I wish this didn't matter, but it's vital when going up against the Koch brothers et al in an era of Citizens' United. The race will get substantial national attention, contribute to the attention and support we need to continue to get for Moral Mondays, and even help direct more donations to preserving Hagan's seat, corporate centrist though she is.

Re: “N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences director puts kibosh on documentary about sea-level rise

Great opportunity for the Museum of Life & Science in Durham. Maybe they can screen it at Carolina Theatre.

If the Galaxy hadn't been demolished, that would have been a great Wake County locale for viewing and discussion.

I hope the documentary filmmakers will put this on YouTube and/or otherwise share it with a consortium of non-profit, non-governmental museums. The decision of the Natural Sciences board just gave the film a great boost and whatever organization that hosts it a wonderful fundraising opportunity. Thanks NCMNS!
