Local Band, Local Beer: Some Army, Lilac Shadows, No Eyes

When: Thu., Oct. 16, 9:30 p.m. 2014
Price: free
It’s been two years now since nuanced Southern psych outfit Some Army released their EP and almost as long since they launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a full-length. At last, there’s word of that LP: No release date has been set, but it’ll be called One Stone and Too Many Birds. Teaser track “Infinite Mirror,” which premiered on the blog Triangle Music this week, plays like a deadpan blend of My Morning Jacket and Phil Collins. It never loses momentum but never peaks, either— appropriate, as this often-staggering outfit is a band for the patient. —Corbie Hill
