Little Tybee, Prypyat, Colorfeels, First Person Plural

When: Sun., March 24, 9 p.m. 2013
Price: $6

Georgia's Little Tybee and Durham's Prypyat use different tactics for similar results. Little Tybee's revolving five-to-10-piece lineup doesn't so much fill space as explore it, with skittering rhythms, ethereal guitar and airy harmonies creating mildly twanged pop. It is otherworldly but comforting, distinctly Southern but cosmopolitan. Prypyat, the duo of Hammer No More the Fingers singer Duncan Webster and Bowerbirds cellist Leah Gibson, spins the tightly wound indie rock of Webster's primary project into similarly graceful folk oddities. Colorfeels and First Person Plural open. —Jordan Lawrence
