Little Shop of Horrors

When: Sept. 18-26 2010
Price: $26-$76

In high school, the first theatrical production I ever starred in was Little Shop of Horrors, a catchy musical about Seymour, a down-on-his-luck geek who finds an exotic plant, Audrey II, that drastically alters his life. North Carolina Theatre will house different variations of Audrey II that depict it "growing up," including a gargantuan version that requires a person inside manipulating it and someone offstage voicing it. Raleigh native Noah Putterman plays the role of Seymour, and North Carolina natives Casey Hushion and Julie Bradley are the director and musical director, respectively. The show runs today through Sept. 26 (with a special student preview Sept. 17).—Belem Destefani
