Literary Laureates 2014 Workshop

When: Sun., Sept. 14, 3 p.m. 2014
Price: Free
What do playwright Ian Finley, nonfiction writer Scott Huler, poet Jaki Shelton Green and fiction writer Carrie Jane Knowles have in common? All of them are former or current (that's Knowles) Piedmont Laureates, a program sponsored by numerous Triangle arts councils to foster literary education and outreach in the Piedmont, and all of them are giving free writing workshops at the Page-Walker Center at 3 p.m. on Sunday, followed by panel discussions and readings at The Cary at 6 p.m. This is a great learning and networking opportunity for aspiring writers, who should preregister at the web address below. —Brian Howe
