Re: “Performance Art Night X at Common Ground Theatre

Three cheers for Tony Hughes and his organizational prowess behind Performance Art Night, now in it's tenth iteration and iconically portrayed as PAN X!

Re: “The in-studio chemistry of Murs and 9th Wonder, and its strange, sexy surprises

The Murs / 9th Wonder collaboration is the kind of West Coast / East Coast connection that makes the United States more united. Through the urban confirmation of hip-hop, their Fornever creates a brilliant space to contemplate relationships and feel comfortable in daily reality. It's a down to earth album that has proven the two can work together in harmony.

I'm looking forward to seeing where this combination can take us. As with many hip-hop albums, Fornever is an invitation for further collaboration, bringing success to East and West Coast alike with a cast of characters that will emerge if the two continue to broadcast their new equation in the global hip-hop formula.

I'm glad to see Mia Yoon in the news! Her artistic integrity for decades now brings a high level of credibility to the RICA endeavor. Brava!

Re: “The Know Bookstore's future: unknown

I've been wanting more resources to be made available for The Know bookstore for some time now. The general perception of the place is not consistent with the wealth of knowledge it represents to the community.

Bruce should have a role in the new venture, otherwise there will be an unfortunate loss of continuity. But at the same time, I visited The Know on a weekly basis for months to buy a world map, wanting to give the business to Bruce.

Everytime I would come in he'd say he would order the map and after months of no action I lost faith. I know my map wasn't his primary objective, but in my experience he needs help to run a more successful business.

Re: “The surprising collaboration of Freebass 808 creates its own hip-hop universe

Freebass 808 is the gateway to proving the worth of North Carolina Hip Hop once again on a global, if not universal stage. Apple Juice Kid has been providing support and entertainment to the Triangle for years, and it's great to see his work being appreciated by someone who can give him more leverage in the music industry.
