Lenora Zenzalai Helm

A jazz vocal original in the idiosyncratic tradition of Abbey Lincoln, Helm has spent years honing her craft. She has six solo albums to her name, including one produced by Branford Marsalis. An acclaimed composer, arranger and educator, she directs the vocal ensemble in NCCU’s prestigious Jazz Studies program. —Sylvia Pfeiffenberger
