LeMaster | Local 506 | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.

When: Mon., July 5, 9:30 p.m. 2010
Price: $8

While it sounds like a French S&M gear manufacturer, LeMaster is actually the new project of Athens, Ga., fixture Andy LeMaster. He's a skilled producer (Bright Eyes, Drive-By Truckers) who helps run Chase Park Transduction studios and leads Now It's Overhead, moody, textured indie rockers blending synth pop and shoegazer impulses on a trio of Saddle Creek albums. The band's last release was 2006's Dark Light Daybreak, though LeMaster's played on solo albums by Azure Ray/ Overhead cronies Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor, as well as Conor Oberst. It's anybody's guess what the quartet sounds like, but—extrapolating from his previous work— expect something shimmering and atmospheric. —Chris Parker
